San Diego, CA – July 6, 2016 – Visa Inc. and the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) today announced a new partnership that will help high school students sharpen their fiscal skills. Visa's award winning financial education materials will be offered as part of the FCCLA's new Financial Fitness module. NFL legend and TV football analyst John Lynch joined Visa and the FCCLA at the 2016 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in San Diego to announce the partnership and play a game of Visa's Financial Football.

"We are proud to bring our personal finance expertise and resources to FCCLA's new Financial Fitness program. Our partnership enables us to offer FCCLA's 160,000 members in high schools nationwide an introduction to basic money management concepts in an innovative and entertaining way."
Visa's resources will be integrated into the new Financial Fitness–the FCCLA's financial education program. Financial Fitness seeks to inform and inspire teens to sharpen their money management, consumerism and financial planning skills. Materials from Practical Money Skills for Life, Visa's financial education initiative, will be made available to all of FCCLA's 160,000 plus members in more than 5,400 chapters across the United States and its territories.

Practical Money Skills for Life provides personal finance lessons in a fun and engaging way for students," said Sandy Spavone, the Executive Director of the FCCLA. "We are proud to offer a resource to our members that allow them to get started making sound financial decisions."
As a part of the announcement, nine-time NFL Pro Bowl safety John Lynch joined representatives of Visa and the FCCLA for a game of Financial Football, an educational video game developed by Visa with the NFL and a key part of FCCLA's new Financial Fitness program. Lynch coached students in a hard-fought, high-energy game assisting students in answering an array of financial literacy questions in order to move up and down the gridiron. Lynch also shared his personal insights on the importance of money management with the national conference attendees.

It's important to learn the fundamental skills and techniques of saving and budgeting, and to stick with it," said John Lynch, current NFL analyst for Fox. "Visa and the FCCLA working together to support students and educators can help give high schoolers a strong background in financial literacy."
Launched in 1995, Practical Money Skills for Life has reached more than 40 million consumers worldwide with financial education tools and content such as video games, comic books, Community Theater, and hands-on personal finance education. Materials are available in 16 languages across 42 countries.
