Visa and the National Football League have teamed up to help teach financial concepts with Financial Football, a fast-paced, interactive game that engages students while teaching them money management skills. Teams compete by answering financial questions to earn yardage and score touchdowns.

NFL Stars London Fletcher and Matt Stafford Showcase Financial Football to the White House
NFL stars Detroit Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford and Washington Redskins Linebacker London Fletcher joined Visa to showcase its popular educational video game and classroom curriculum, Financial Football, at the White House Summit on Financial Capability & Empowerment May 10. Each NFL player coached a group of teenagers in playing the fast-paced video game. Read more

Visa showcased its popular educational video game and classroom curriculum, Financial Football, at the Navy Federal Credit Union in the Pentagon. See the Chicago Bears' Lance Briggs and Illinois representative Robert Dold join Chicago students in an action-packed game of Financial Football at this April 23rd event. The event, which occurred as part of Money Smart Week, marks an effort by Visa Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to showcase the educational game and boost financial literacy among teens statewide. In Little Rock, Arkansas State Treasurer Martha Shoffner kicked off a financial literacy initiative for students featuring Visa's Financial Football with help from the Vikings' QB Christian Ponder. Recent Visa Inc. Survey Shows American Football Fans Hosting Super Bowl Parties Plan to Spend $118
As the Super Bowl approaches, a Visa Inc. survey finds that the average American hosting a Super Bowl party plans to spend $118.80 on food, beverages and more-almost identical to last year. In 2010, the average fan spent $144. There are regional differences as well, with fans in the South planning to spend the most at $128, and fans in the West planning to spend the least at $110. In Chicago, IL today, U.S. Rep Judy Biggert and Visa Inc. kicked off a new financial literacy initiative for students with help from Chicago Bears players Matt Forte and Charles Tillman. As part of the rollout, the group visited Bolingbrook High School to play Financial Football with students. The free educational game is designed to teach important money management skills.
