In honor of the World Cup kickoff, Rhode Island Soccer has partnered with Jump$tart to help promote financial literacy through Financial Soccer, the fast-paced, multiple-choice video game created by Visa. To boost excitement about the game, the group is holding a Financial Soccer competition June 12 from 10:30am – 12pm in North Smithville, Rhode Island.

Free Visa FIFA World Cup™ Viewing Event at AT&T Park in San Francisco
In celebration of the opening round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, AT&T Park and Visa are hosting a free public viewing event at AT&T Park. The Visa FIFA World Cup™ Viewing Event will take place at AT&T Park on Saturday, June 12. The gates will open at 10:00 a.m. with kickoff of the USA vs. England match at 11:30 a.m. The World Cup action will be shown LIVE on the ballpark’s HD centerfield scoreboard as well as on TVs throughout the ballpark. Soccer Stars McBride and Espinoza Team with Visa to Bring Financial Soccer to Chicago Public Schools
As part of an ongoing global financial literacy effort, professional soccer stars Brian McBride and Roger Espinoza joined with Visa Inc., the Illinois State Treasurer's Office and Chicago Public Schools today to introduce a new soccer-themed video game at Clemente Community Academy. The fast-paced game is aimed at teaching students about personal finance. Also present were NYSE Euronext’s CEO and Director Duncan L. Niederauer and Michelle Greene, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education and Financial Access, U.S. Department of the Treasury. Visa Launches Financial Football in Asia Pacific Visa announced the launch of its Financial Football game in China on April 6 featuring famous Chinese football star Xu Yunlong. He competed with two Peking University students from Beijing in a match of Financial Football. Visa cardholders and students in Asia Pacific can now use their knowledge of money management to pass, dribble and score their way to the 2010 FIFA World CupTM with the launch of the Visa Financial Football competition in Asia Pacific.
