Scott Duncombe - President, Student Government The University of Chicago
Scott Duncombe is President of the Student Government of the University of Chicago, where he manages the University and Student Government committees. In 2006-2007, he served as the College Council Chair where he formed his own political party, utilized the internet to galvanize 14,000 students and won a majority in the College Council.
Mr. Duncombe is a double major in Political Science and Chemistry and will matriculate in June 2008. A Dean’s List member, he won the National Institute of Health’s PC Bio Fellowship in 2006-2007 and is a member of The Maroon Key Honorary Society.
He also served for two years as the Communications Director for the University of Chicago Democrats, and wrote his senior thesis on Renewable Energy Policy in Germany and the United States. As the PC Bio Fellow, he developed independent reserach utilizing chemical protein synthesis to analyze ion channels.
