Oliver Jenkyn is Group Executive, North America for Visa Inc., with responsibility for all U.S. and Canada financial institution relationships as well as global responsibility for interchange and pricing. Previously, Jenkyn was Global Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for Visa, responsible for developing and managing the company's corporate strategy.
Before joining Visa in 2009, Jenkyn was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in the San Francisco, New York, London and Toronto offices, and a leader of the firm's North American retail banking practice and global payments practice. At McKinsey, Jenkyn managed the firm's relationship with Visa for five years, which included playing integral roles in Visa's global restructuring, IPO, client needs assessment, information technology performance management, corporate strategy development and other key projects. Jenkyn's role at McKinsey also included extensive global experience across the financial services industry with a specialization in card payments (issuing, acquiring, processing), check processing and cash management.
Previously, Jenkyn worked in private equity with Bain & Company based out of London. Jenkyn holds a B.A. in economics from McGill University, and master's degrees in business and finance from Harvard University and Queen's University. Jenkyn sits on the Board of Trustees at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
