Creating financial confidence world wide.
Practical Money Skills is one of Visa’s signature global financial education platforms, designed to help people improve their financial knowledge and financial health.
We support people all over the world including families, educators, students, and lifelong learners, through free resources that are practical, engaging, and easy to use. To date, Practical Money Skills has been accessed by people in over 200 countries and territories reaching learners across regions, languages, cultures, and life stages with tools that support stronger financial futures.
For over 30 years, Visa has equipped individuals with access to financial education resources, tools, and digital skills that unlock opportunities for economic growth, resiliency, and prosperity. This commitment began in 1991, when Visa launched its first financial literacy products, a manual for consumers on how to manage credit responsibly.
As the need for accessible financial education resources grew, Visa expanded that commitment online with the launch of the Practical Money Skills website in 2000, creating a free destination for comprehensive financial education content.

Over the years, the program has continually found new ways to make learning about complex topics feel engaging and relevant. In 2005, Visa partnered with the NFL to launch Financial Football, a fast-paced trivia game that helps individuals practice financial concepts in a way that feels active and memorable. That same spirit of “learn by doing” expanded globally in 2009 with the launch of Financial Soccer in partnership with FIFA, making learning fun and engaging through the power of sport. In 2012, we launched our first financial education comic in partnership with Marvel, bringing financial education to life through storytelling.
Building on our commitment to bring financial education to more people Visa launched Practical Business Skills in 2019 to support small businesses and entrepreneurs with tools to help them thrive and address real operational challenges. More recently, 2024–2025 marked a new chapter for Visa’s financial education portfolio. During this period we modernized our content and set the foundation new offerings designed to meet the financial education needs of tomorrow. We are proud to say that 2026 marks 35 years of financial education at Visa, reflecting a steady commitment to helping people build confidence with money through resources designed to be practical, engaging, and built for the way people learn today.

The Road Forward
The next chapter of Practical Money Skills is focused on delivering comprehensive fresh content that supports individuals and families to participate in the digital economy with confidence.
We’re continuing to create new tools, games, curriculum, and digital experiences that help partners, clients, educators, nonprofits, financial institutions, and community organizations bring financial education to their customers, students, and communities in new and exciting ways.
Our goal is to keep Practical Money Skills truly practical—creating learning opportunities that make money topics feel clearer, choices feel more manageable, and progress feel achievable- for everyone, everywhere.
