New Visa and Chinese Athletes Education Foundation Survey
On January 18th, 2016, Chinese Athletes Education Foundation and Visa jointly launched 2015 Chinese Athletes Financial Literacy Report in China. According to the survey, Chinese athletes lack financial knowledge. However, over 90% of the athletes surveyed were interested in financial education and greater empowerment. Nathaniel Sillin, Head of Global Financial Literacy for Visa, who spoke at the survey unveiling said: "We believe the most valuable financial tool is not a product, but knowledge. We are honored to be able to cooperate with CAEF on understanding the financial literacy challenges of Chinese athletes. The survey is just the first step for us. We hope to draw the public attention to financial education for athletes in China and we wanted to invite relevant governmental departments and members of the China Financial Literacy Partnership to work together to support financial literacy education for the athletes in the country."
