Visa was a proud sponsor of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation’s fifth annual Redskins Back-to-School Fair on Friday, August 23, 2019 at FedExField in Landover, MD. At Visa’s Practical Money Skills booth, about 700 1st through 5th graders participated in Financial Football and Peter Pig’s Money Counter game demonstrations. They also took home free copies of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Rocket’s Powerful Plan comic; which Visa developed in partnership with Marvel Entertainment, and the Your Money, Your Future workbook; as well as pencils and calculators.

Participating sponsors for this year’s fair provided students with free supplies and services, including school essentials and backpacks, new books, dental exams, vision screenings, haircuts, after school programs and family resources. The Visa employees who engaged with students are part of the Visa Volunteers program, a global initiative for the company.

Current and former Redskins players made appearances at the event including alumni Josh Morgan, Ricky Ervins, Ken Jenkins and Stephon Heyer. Current players who met with Washington Metropolitan Area students included Adrian Peterson, Austin Maloata, Jerald Foster and JoJo McIntosh.
